Shaping Maths (3rd Edition) is written according to the 2013 Ministry of Education, Singapore primary Mathematics syllabus for classes 1 to 6. A wide range of learning experiences allow pupils to explore mathematics using the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract (CPA) approach along with a highly structured Spiral Approach to build a strong foundation embedded in long-term memory.
The package consists of two Coursebooks, two Activity Books and two Teacher’s Planning Guides for each year. The Teacher’s Guides include a variety of resources such as Scheme of Work, Teaching Suggestions, Alternative Assessment, Extension Activities, Holistic Assessment Guide and etc. To help teachers use these resources effectively, a flowchart on the usage of resources is available for each level. It outlines available resources by level, and explain when and how each resource can be used.
