STARLIGHT

GRADED ENGLISH READERS

What better way to learn to read than to be drawn into a good story? Starlight Graded English Readers build on a child’s natural curiosity and sense of fun while giving them the tools to become independent and confident readers. Written and designed for Pakistan, these books use familiar characters, settings, and situations to encourage children to relate to texts. The first four Readers are wordless. Levels 6 to 8 (for classes 3, 4, and 5) introduce children to a wide range of reading materials, from traditional classics to local stories, newspaper articles, play scripts, poetry and more! Join us as we teach children 21st-century skills!

The series comes in eight levels (levels 6 to 8 are forthcoming) -- pre-nursery to class 5. Each level consists of a Teacher's Guide, a pack of six Readers, and an Activity Book

The Activity Books revise vocabulary and sentence structures taught in the Readers and contain fun activities, including crossword puzzles, mazes, word searches, fill-in-the-blanks, riddles, colouring, and collaborative activities. They introduce children to the basic building blocks of storytelling and include short writing projects to inspire their creativity and imagination.

Teacher's Guides provide general teaching strategies and specific suggestions for each Reader, including ‘After Reading Questions’ and ‘Expansion Activities’ to generate discussion, increase vocabulary, and spark interest and creativity.
